Wow

Well we are a whole bunch of slackers......

To get you back up to date, We have been way busy..... We finished our play, that went very well... Immediately after the play we left for teen camp....... That was amazing! We learned a whole lot...... After that was junior camp...... and during junior camp Casey went on a trip with a couple from our church to a bajillion and one places...... After that was middle school camp...... After that we had a group from Oklahoma come out and help us with VBS, well techinicly we helped them with our VBS...... After that we had a youth group from a little town called Brush, it's in Colorado.... That was this week.... And tomarrow we are going to Sonfest, a thing up north... Then we are done with the summer..... I can hear the hallelujah chorus now.... Well I think I'm done taking up your time now so I'll let you go......

Weekly Update

Wow, another week gone to the wind! It seems like last week went bye really fast because we were so busy all the time practicing and stuff!
Church in the park went really well I think. Some of the kids were kinda rowdy, but that's typical. I had a lot of fun with the bounce houses and stuff (Even though most of the time we were manning them, we got to play for a little bit!) Our in-house National Guard recruiter recruited some of the NG guys to bring in a climbing wall. I only went up once (Didn't even make it to the top might I add) and my abdomen hurts anytime I laugh or cough!!! I'm such a wimp!!! Oh well. We got a lot of pictures with the bounce houses and stuff, I'll be sure to post some. We got one of all of us coming down the slide...kind of embarrassing! Anyway, onto more important things, like Last weeks prayer requests:

We Officially have a new member of the Wannabegarageband! Bethany B. has been singing with us for a while, but is now an Honorary member, (We had our first official Wannabe... meeting to prove so!) So welcome to the 'family'!

Wow!!! I can't believe church in the park is TOMORROW!!! I'm really excited about it, yet I'm really nervous! I woke up this morning and like my throat was hurting and my nose was running I was like, "NOOOO!!!" But I think it will be OK as long as I take it easy on the talking and yelling and bring plenty of water!!! I think we are going to record our special music number if not the whole worship service! It's pretty cool. I really hope the wind stops blowing though, it's howling right now!!! The only other bummer thing is that we have to be at the park at 7 AM!!! Like Before noon! Gonna hafta go to sleep early tonight. Sooo, if you know where we are and are up and awake by 10, you should come on over!!!

So yeah, Last Saturday was our first play rehearsal, but all we really did was read through the entire script thing... It was cool though. I'm still really excited about the whole thing, much more than my mom is though. She's less than enthusiastic about it. I got one of the four biggest parts. Way cool!!! Praising God about that, but still asking his help too because it's a lot of work! Well, that's all for now!

Hey everyone, very exciting, last night were the auditions for a play at the community theater in town, and Casey, Ashalee and I all tried out and got a part!!!!! I actually got one of the bigger parts! Our friend Liesl tried out too, but didn't get a part and was glad because she had to go out of town like the week of the play... too bad. The only bummer things are (1 That the very last performance is the first night of our church teen camp and (2 that I have to stage kiss *EEEWWW* the frog prince......not fun. Oh well......anyways, that was all for this morning.

ok so I am out of school for the weekend WHOO-HOO! and so ya i am pretty excited and this weekend the youth group is having a garage sale call me a dork but they are so much FUN! expescially when we get to play with the left overs and stuff. W-O-W i feel like being totally random dont you LOOOOOOOOOOVE this PIc? I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this pic! I love Pon and Zi(those are there namesc) but they are adorable. well you heard about church in the park whoo hoo! ya well i sent in my stuff for school for next year so i am going to go the artsy school the downsides are uniforms, getting there its about 45 min away and i wont go to the same school as some of my friends like savanna and spazz and everyone else but anywho i am going to youth group tonite FUN well kinda sorta but anways hope everyone else out there is having a SUPER AWESOME WEEK mine wasnt all roses and daisies but as always HAVE A NICE DAY!

Church in the Park

Hey Everyone, our church is doing a church-in-the-park! it's exactly what it sounds like, we're gonna pack up our church stuff and go to our city park and have church there. We did it last year and it went very well! This year, we (our wannabegarageband+our friend Bethany) are gonna do a special music number and thought we would invite everyone! Well, I guess everyone who knows where we are... sorry everybody else. Anyway, after the actual service part, we are gonna have lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers, then we'll have some inflatables and some fun stuff like that. You're welcome to come, I think the Youth Group is gonna be manning the inflatables and the other stuff like that and in theory we'll have our Youth Group shirts done by then so you will be able to tell who we are!!! Wow! I can't believe that another week has gone by!!! My brothers birthday is this week and he's turning 12! Very exciting, ya know?

My siblings soccer season ended last weekend, so that's kind of a bitter-sweet thing, bitter for them, sweet for the rest of us.... Anyway, that's all! Have a great week!

How To Make A Cheap Date Look Good ; - )

HEY!!! It's my mom and dad's anniversary today!!! So he (meaning my dad) took her to McDonald's...... Here's the twist!!! Before church, we got a bunch of stuff together (silverware, plastic wine glasses, a nice tablecloth, candle, and my guitar). After church, we had some friends drop us of at McDonald's. (Here's the fun part ;-D) We set up the tablecloth on one of the table's, with the candle, the silverware (on a napkin), and a (decorative) bucket with water in it (for the flowers he was bringing). My brother and sister were the waiter and waitress. So they took there orders, got there drinks, ordered there food, and brought it to them!!! My dad had me play (romantic) music in the background. BUT GET THIS!!! My mom had no idea we were going to do that, so it was a total surprise for her!!! Yes, it was a little embarrassing in front of ALL those people. But it was fun, and worth it in the end!!! Anyways..... I would post pictures if I had them, but I don't. But I had to tell you "how to make a cheap date look good", so I guess that's it, see you later!!!

"Horton Hears A Who"

Hey! I went to the movie theater last night with Bethany. But there really wasn't anything to see (as usual). So we went to see "Horton Hears A Who", and it turned out better than I thought it would! It was hilarious, and the storyline was pretty good too. I have to say that my favorite part is when the Mayer decided to trust in what he doesn't see. I also like the fact that the Mayer was willing to stand up for what he believed in, under persecution. Sound familiar? It reminds me of our everyday christian walks with God. To believe in what we can't see, and to stand up for what we believe in, EVEN WHEN IT HURTS!!!!! The Mayer made a difference in that ONE small town. How much bigger of a difference can WE make in this whole WORLD!!!!! If all of us stood up for WHAT WE BELIEVED IN, and TRUSTED IN THE ONE LIVING GOD TO MAKE A CHANGE!!!!! I don't know about you, but I think it's time for a change. I hope y'all go see it too, cause it was an awesome movie!

hair dye school barbies and other things

ok you are all wondering why i have a very interesting title. So first thing on the title is HAIR DYE so ya i re did my hair and people tell me it looks good so lets hope they are telling the truth.. umm.. yes i am going to the "artsy' school my mom says that if after the first semester if i dont like it then i can switch back to public school. when i was little i adored barbies i loved barbies i wanted to look just like them they were like the perfect person. I used to think that if i looked like barbie i would get a free convertible and wardrobe i mean when your five its not really hard to get you to believe things. Look at her she is gorgeous! but now as i think about it im more pretty then barbie because god made my instead of a machine making our friend barbie. beause i am a piece of art instead of plastic and my maker loves me. I dont think that whoever made barbie machine or man loved her so any one who is readong this girls in particular. Dont let anyone tear you down and say that you arent beautiful because you are no one can do anything to make god think you are ugly, and besides and doesnt matter what other people say cause DUH! we are pathetic humans who think about ourselves so next time says you are insignificant or that you arent beautiful say "I Am the crown of gods creation and he is the only one who defines me" That ought to scare them off. OK, that was all the requests for this week, thank you for continued prayer!

So last night was our associational youth rally thing where (in theory) all of the youth groups in our baptist association get together and have like a worship service and hang out and eat food and stuff, Anyway, so that was pretty cool, literally. On the way up there it was raining, then it turned into snow and it snowed the whole time, so there was like 3 inches by the time we left to go 50 miles back home! It was crazy, especially seeings how it's been like 70-80's all week! I actually got a really bad sunburn on Saturday watching my siblings play soccer. Still hurts. Yeah, well, anyway back to the point. It was a really good service too, they have like a youth band thing and they did really good, but I personally think they need drums, but that's just me cause I think everything needs drums! The message was good, they guy was talking about how in our relationships with God, we are the ones that move away, not Him, and he tied it in with the man (apparently Mark) who ran away from Jesus in Mark 14:51-52. Anyway, I better get going.

Happy Monday!

Hey Everyone, How's it going? Some people really don't like Mondays, some because they have to go back to school and work, and others for reasons unknown to the rest of mankind. Well, I was just thinking about Psalm 118:24: "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. " So if you're a Monday-hater, remember that God made today just like He made all the other days and He wants you to live your life today in a way that is pleasing to Him. Try singing a song, reading a book, drawing a picture of a flower or other things and think of how great God is. Just an uplifting thought.

Must Have Done Something Right

Hey Everyone, more useless information that you will probably never use from the strange mind of me. So we (My siblings and I) are enrolled in an online school that is technically through the public school system but we do it at home, and we have to do testing every year. This year I had to take the Iowa state tests. Also, next year I am going to take an online virtual high school so they have been sending a lot of stuff to "The Parents/Guardians of Tori..." from the Utah state school district. So this morning I when I went to get the mail, there's this Manila envelope from the school to my parents. Well, I figure, "It has my name on it!" So I opened it. You know what was in it? Of coarse you don't, so I'll tell you. It was a "Certificate of Outstanding Performance in the Iowa state testing" I guess I scored in the top 10% nationally! My "Areas of outstanding Performance" are Reading and Social Studies. Anyway, I just wanted to say that!Really not trying to brag or anything, just really excited!

My Frozen Brain

Hey! So we went to the Kersten's house last night and we had a ball jammin' with their instruments and stuff. I guess I was the first one that Taylor let play her foot pedal. It's WAY FAR OUT AWESOME!!!!! It was alot of fun. So their mom's birthday was a few weeks ago and they made an ice cream cake for her. Well their freezer is REALLY cold so while I was eating it I got a really bad brain freeze and said, "My Brain hurts!!!" and so Sherlyn (their mom) said, "So don't use it anymore!" So now if I do something stupid like I'm not thinking, I have an excuse!Well Gotta go!

Ok so i think this is the tiniest bit weird because casey just posted not to long ago but i was on here first cause i was making changes to our blog making it pretty and such any ways. Tori your hair is beautiful! i think im going to re-do mine soon so the red stands out more. any ways have you guys ever noticed that apple juice tastes better in a juice box? and that when you go to the store to buy cupcakes they have way to much frosting?anyways did you know that the blood of mammals is red, the blood of insects is yellow, and the blood of lobsters is blue and that Mozart wrote the music for the song 'Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star,' when he was only five years old and that the word 'dreamt' is the only word in the English language that ends in 'mt'how cool would it be to be a ninja? that my friend would be sooooo cool! i think it is kinda weird that this side ---> is like the black abyss of nothing well technically the blue abyss of nothing. i feel so left out you guys took all the good verses thats ok there are plenty more! ok bye!!

Hey Everyone! Guess what! I dyed my hair! It's crazy amazing! here's a picture of it! I got red & black highlights. As of right now, Casey, Taylor and Ashalee don't even know! So this is exclusive information! Just Kidding, but I'm pretty excited about it!

Much needed update

Wow! It's been a long time since we've posted! Lots going on. So we are finishing up with the play, The Frog Prince. Originally it was Casey Ashalee and Tori acting, Taylor was the stage manager and Bethany was doing tech, but Ashalee had to drop out and Taylor is filling in for her. It's going really well. The next thing on our summer schedule is our church camp next Monday! It's up in the mountains, which gives us a break from the heat! It's usually about 10-15 degrees cooler up there. This is Taylor and Bethany's I think third year at teen camp, but the first time for Casey, Ashalee and I (Tori). I'm really excited about it, and I assume the same for the rest of them. Right after she gets home, Bethany has to leave to go out of town for almost the rest of the summer with her family to their summer home, in places much cooler than here! Good for her. Well, I better get going, sorry about the wait!

Lol, so when Casey was at my house, we went and looked at Ashalee's personal blog, and saw that she had these cool little animal guys, so we went and got some, one for each of us as you can see. They're pretty cool. You can play with them and feed them. Have fun!
